Setting up Your Free, Ad-Supported Hosting Account

You cannot remove the ads from your website if you are using a free hosting account. For ad-free hosting, you must upgrade your account.

To Set up Your Free Ad-supported Hosting Account

  1. Log in to the Account Manager.
  2. From the My Products section, click Free Products, then click Hosting Accounts.
  3. Click Activate Your Free Account.
  4. From the Which account type do you want to use? menu, select the type of account you want to set up.
  5. Select the domain for your hosting account.
  6. Click Set Up, and then click Close.
  7. Next to the New Account that displays, click Launch.
  8. In the Hosting Control Center, click Accept to accept the End User License Agreement.
  9. Set up your hosting account by entering the following information:
    • Enter New User ID — Create a user name that you will use when you log in to this hosting account.
    • Enter New Password — Create a password that you will use when you log in to this hosting account.
    • Confirm New Password — Re-enter the password that you created.
  10. Click Continue.
  11. Verify your Domain Name and User ID, click Submit, and then close the Hosting Control Center.
