We know you’re excited to get your email set up on your computer. We offer a variety of ways to help you through this process below: written step by step instructions or the Outlook Setup tool that does everything for you automatically. Ideally, 5 minutes is all you need to get your email working in Outlook 2007.<\/span><\/h2>\n

BEFORE YOU START:<\/strong>\u00a0To set up Outlook with your email, you need to know your POP or IMAP\u00a0Email Server Settings<\/strong>\u00a0and ports. To find them, got to the\u00a0InfoCenter<\/a>\u00a0and write down the information that displays under Email Server Settings.<\/p>\n

Setting up Email in Outlook 2007<\/a><\/h3>\n

To manually set up your email account, just follow the instructions below.<\/p>\n

To Set up Email in Outlook 2007<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007. From the\u00a0Tools<\/strong>\u00a0menu, select\u00a0Account Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Click\u00a0New<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter\u00a0Your Name<\/strong>,\u00a0E-mail Address<\/strong>,\u00a0Password<\/strong>, and password confirmation.<\/li>\n
  4. At the bottom, select\u00a0Manually configure server settings or additional server types<\/strong>\u00a0and click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Select\u00a0Internet E-mail<\/strong>, and click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. Enter\u00a0Your Name<\/strong>\u00a0and full\u00a0E-mail Address<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  7. Select either\u00a0IMAP<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0POP3<\/strong>\u00a0for your\u00a0Account Type<\/strong>. Use these settings for your incoming and outgoing servers, depending on the type of email you have:

    Incoming mail server<\/td>\npop.secureserver.net<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    IMAP<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n
    Incoming mail server<\/td>\nimap.secureserver.net<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP)<\/td>\nsmtpout.secureserver.net<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n
  8. Enter your\u00a0User Name<\/strong>\u00a0(your full email address) and\u00a0Password<\/strong>, and selectRemember password<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  9. Click\u00a0More Settings.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. Click the\u00a0Outgoing Server<\/strong>\u00a0tab. Select\u00a0My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Use same settings as my incoming server<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  11. Select the\u00a0Advanced<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n
  12. Next to\u00a0Outgoing Server (SMTP)<\/strong>, type\u00a080<\/strong>. Then, click\u00a0OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  13. Click\u00a0Next<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0Finish<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That’s it. Go ahead and check your email. If you don’t see any messages, press\u00a0F9<\/strong>\u00a0on your keyboard. To make sure you can send messages, try composing an email and sending it to yourself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Using the Outlook Setup Tool<\/a><\/h3>\n

    The Microsoft\u00ae Outlook\u00ae Setup Tool automatically configures your email account with Outlook. For the tool to work, your email must be hosted through us, you need to have Outlook installed on your computer, and you need to open Outlook at least once.<\/p>\n

    To Use The Outlook Setup Tool<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. Download the\u00a0Outlook Setup Tool<\/a>, install it, and then run it.NOTE:<\/strong>\u00a0The Outlook Setup Tool is an executable file that you will need to save to your computer, and then launch.<\/li>\n
    2. If applicable, select the email client you want to set up.<\/li>\n
    3. Enter\u00a0Your Name<\/strong>. This displays in the From field of your email messages.<\/li>\n
    4. Enter your\u00a0Email Address<\/strong>\u00a0you want to use with this account.<\/li>\n
    5. Enter your\u00a0Password<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    6. If you want to access your email in\u00a0Workspace Email<\/strong>, confirm that Leave a copy of messages on the server is selected.<\/li>\n
    7. Click\u00a0Set Up Account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    8. Click\u00a0OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Some Internet service providers might not accept the Outlook Setup Tool’s default settings; you might need to manually edit them. For more information, see\u00a0Troubleshooting Problems Connecting to Email in Outlook Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n
