According to Namebio, On December 17th-Daily Market Report- BMV.com sold for $41,125. NameJet dominated with nine of the top ten sales . The top sale of the day was bmv.com which sold for $41,125 at Sedo. NameBio recorded 317 sales for a total of $352,094 with an average sale price of $1,111

According to Thedomains, Chinese are Buying English Word Domains Too

Raymond published a post today on TheDomains.com,  on the sales report from the first ever live domain auction at the Chinese Domain Festival and China Digital Asset Investment Summit which generated some 150 million RMB in sales.

The official exchange rate is 1 RMB is equal to $.15 USD so the live auction generated $22.5 Million in sales.

For me the biggest news out of the auction is that the Chinese appear now to be buying English words, not just letters, numbers and Chinese words.

Here are a few sales that Raymond noted:

House.com sold for 16,200,000 RMB which is almost $2.5 Million USD, the domain has a Estibot of over $1.8 Million

Banana.com sold for  a whopping 13,200,000 RMB which is $2,036,000 in USD,  which had an Estibot of under $600K.

Girl.com sold for 2.2 RMB which is around $400K and has an Estibot.com at $1,000,000

If the Chinese start buying English one word .com’s for premium dollars, well that’s a game changer.

It’s also really interesting to note that two of the domain names that Nat Cohen’s Telepathy purchased this week from the MostWantedDomain.com portfolio from Godaddy/Afternic.com sold as well in the auction.

CTX.com sold for 580,000 RMB which is just under 90K and WRJ.com  sold for 610,000 RMB which is around $95K.

In non Sedo sales a little further down the chart, Webquest sold #7 Green.click for $3,000, theAbove.com Marketplace got $2,750 for GenVideo.org and URLs.net sold Goodness.org for$1,025. The .orgs won the extension race with six chart entries followed by the .nets with four.

Whonami-According to .XYZ Registry CEO, there are less than 10,000 five number .xyz domain name combinations left

According to Thedomains, Daniel Negari, CEO of the .xyz registry has reported to TheDomains.com that there are less than 10,000 five number .xyz domain name combinations left before they are all registered!

To be exact, at time of publication, only 9.59% are available to register of the once 100,000 according to the tracker provided by the registry.

The XYZ registry easily allows people to see what domain names are available by clicking the download CSV file on the tracker page, which displays the available domain names for ones they are tracking, like the 5 number domains.

About 85% of the 6 number .xyz domain names remain. 3 number and 4 number .xyz domain names have already all sold out!

The numeric domain name market continues to sizzle!
