Whonami-Pepsicofinanceeurope.com Domain Name in Arbitration

Pepsicofinanceeurope.com Domain Name in Arbitration:

An arbitrator with the National Arbitration Forum has recently awarded the domain name Pepsicofinanceeurope.com to PepsiCO.The company submitted the complaint on October 6, 2015.

According to whois records, the domain name was first registered in November,2014

PepsiCO owns many trademark registrations for the “Pepsi” mark all over the world. Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar with its trademark .Moreover, the company contended in the complaint that the respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in the disputed domain name and that the respondent registered and used the disputed domain name in bad faith .

One of the key points of this complaint was when PepsiCO managed to demonstrate that the respondent used the domain name to gather “customer information using the Complainant’s PEPSI mark. The use shows actual knowledge of the Complainant’s PEPSI mark and use of it to deceive Internet users into giving up their data which can be sold or otherwise misused for profit.”

PepsiCO managed to establish all three elements required under the ICANN Policy and the Panel ordered the disputed domain name to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.

Whonami-Stock and Domain Names

Stock and Domain Names

There are a number of parallels that can be drawn between investing in domain names and investing in the stock market. You can make money from stocks by buying low and selling high and by pocketing the dividend, if any, paid out on the stock during the time you own it.

Similarly, the primary profit in most domain name investments will be unlocked at the time the domain is sold or leased. Even a relatively minor transaction can yield a several thousand percent profit. After all, at $10 a registration, in the case of a new domain, it doesn’t take much to make a profit. At the same time, if the domain name is receiving even a modest stream of targeted traffic, this can be harnessed and turned into an ongoing revenue stream while you wait to complete a transaction for the domain (essentially, this is the “domain dividend” of owning that domain.)

There are also a number of significant differences between stocks and domain names. For instance, there is a well-established market for stocks with firm prices agreed upon by a large number of players – a liquid market in which stocks can generally be bought and sold at any time. The domain name market is far more nebulous, with many players and few rules. It is a highly illiquid market with no guarantees that a particular domain name can sell in any given time frame, or indeed, at all.

By now, you should have noticed a pattern emerging. Stocks, while by no means a safe investment, are very low risk when compared to domain name investments.

Domain name investments are ultra-high risk,. They have the potential of a very high return on investment for the right domains, if a buyer can be found, and the prospect of losing the entire value of the investment if one can not. The latter scenario is by farthe more common one as most people buying domain names to resell end up losing much or all of the money they invested.

are both online website design applications that enable you to create a website – without any technical skills or coding experience.

Website Builder is Whonami’s website design tool. It offers several themes, or templates, for you to choose from. Once you select a theme, you can customize your website by editing the existing text and images using drag-and-drop design tools. Website Builder is great for creating a basic online presence for your business, or even just to provide info about your business, like what you do, who you are, and how to contact you, among other things.

If you want to sell products or services on your website, Online Store is the best choice. Online Store is similar to Website Builder, but includes specially designed storefront and product pages, an integrated shopping cart, and customer payment processing. The product pages in Online Store not only let you organize, merchandise, and display the details of what you’re selling, but you also control things such as product pricing, inventory and shipping behind the scenes.

Once you’ve chosen your website design tool and customized the template, you’ll just click Publish, and your site is on the web.

Whonami-Some tips to sell your domain names

There are Some tips to sell your domain names

1. Display a “for sale” message on your domain’s home page

2. Sell your domains on Flippa, Sedo…

3. Embrace fixed pricing if you really want to move your domains

4. Optimize the WHOIS record for sales

5. Don’t hide behind WHOIS privacy

6. Have realistic price expectations

7. Respond promptly to any purchase inquiries you get

8. Use “charm pricing” to increase the likelihood of a sale

There’s a reason a lot of products on store shelves have prices that end in “99” or “98”. This is called “charm pricing” and it has to do with retail psychology.

You can and should apply this best practice to your domain name pricing. For example, even though a domain name priced at $1,999 is only $1 less than a domain name priced at $2,000, the $1,999 domain will “feel” like a much better deal to many potential buyers.

Domains, like most products with charm pricing, have been statistically proven to sell much faster. I know this may sound crazy, but it works!

Whonami-The ways to sell your domain names independently

The ways to sell your domain names independently:

There are three different ways to market a domain name yourself, depending on the effort you are willing to expend and how quickly you would like to sell the domain name. You can choose to do nothing , set up a basic web page , or create an active site .

Do Nothing

The simplest way to market the domain name requires no extra effort after the domain name is bought. Just do nothing, and wait for a potential buyer to look up your domain name, see that it is already taken, and send you an offer to purchase it from you. As you can no doubt guess, the chances of success from such a passive method are fairly slim, unless you have somehow managed to reserve a truly fantastic name that everyone else missed.

Set up a basic Web page

The next step up is to create a very simple page connected to that domain, with a short message such as “The following domain names are for sale. Please contact <e-mailaddress@domain.com> for more details.” followed by a list of the domain names for sale. The benefits of this sales method is that it requires very little time and effort, yet it allows potential buyers to at least visit your site on the web, even if there is nothing there.

You will need to link your web page to your domain name. This is beyond the scope of this introductory document. Please consult with your ISP for more details, or find out the information independently.

Create an active site

If you are prepared to devote a great deal of time and effort to marketing the domain name, there is only one possible line of attack: create a fully-fledged web site, attract visitors to the site and place a notice prominently somewhere on the site to indicate that the domain name is for sale. The decision to create an active site should not be made lightly; in order to attract sizeable numbers of visitors and increase the chances of selling your domain name, the site should provide interesting, useful information.

The benefits of an active site are two-fold. Firstly, a site which attracts many visitors will have a greatly increased chance of catching a buyer’s eye in the fickle world of cyberspace. Secondly, if the site is popular enough, it could be put on the market as a going concern: the buyer purchases not only the rights to the domain name, but also the information [and readership] of the site. This is similar to the goodwill factor for shops: purchasing a successful bakery will cost more than purchasing a vacant shop and turning it into a bakery, as the daily flow of customers has been factored into the sales price. Equally, a successful, popular web page is worth more than an empty site.
