According to DomainNews, Google won another UDRP case seeking to obtain the transfer of iGoogleApps.com and iGoogleMovies.com domainnames. The company submitted the complaint with the National Arbitration Forum on July 28, 2015.
According to whois records, iGoogleApps.com was first registered on April 14,2014, while iGoogleMovies.com was first registered on May 18,2014.
Google owns many trademark registrations for the “Google” mark all over the world. Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain names are confusingly similar to its trademark.Moreover,the company managed to demonstrate that the respondent has no rights or legitimate interest in the disputed domain names and that the respondent used the domain names in bad faith .
The arbitrator assigned to the case ruled in favor of Google,indicating that the company has full rights to the disputed domain names .The company managed to demonstrate that the complainant used the domain names to attract internet users for commercial gain . Google also contended that the respondent used one of the domain names trying to pass itself off as complainant.
