Whonami-How to point your domain name’s email service to Google?

If your domain name uses Google Apps for its email service you need to point your domain name‘s email service to it. This is done by changing your domain name’s Mail Exchanger (MX) records, which control where email sent to your domain name gets delivered. If you’re curious about how that works, see What is an MX record?

To Manually Configure Google Apps MX Records for Your Domain Name

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Next to Domains, click Manage.
  3. Click the domain you want to use, and then select the DNS Zone File tab.
  4. Click Add Record, and then select MX (Mail Exchanger).
  5. Add the following MX records:

    5 @ ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
    10 @ ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
