#1 6.xyz for $125,000 of Top 20 Highest Reported Domain Sales -Nov. 16 – Nov. 22, 2015 by DNJournal
The biggest example of that so far this year came this week when FindYourDomain.com brokered the $125,000 sale of 6.xyz. According to the WhoIs record the buyer lives in Toronto but a look up of other domains held by the same owner shows most are held at Chinese registrar eName.com, A scan of the final Escrow.com statement was submitted to us as proof of the price paid.
This is the the fourth biggest non .com sale reported so far in 2015, trailing only TV.se, a Swedish ccTLD that sold for $265,149 in January and two other gTLDs – Wine.club and95.net – that sold for $140,000 each in June.
Two of the next three spots on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart went to ever popular three-letter .coms withFlippa.com selling #2 NOY.com for $39,000 and DomainPromotion.com moving #4 PEQ.com for $27,000. Sandwiched in between was Sedo’s sale of #3 Aflam.com at$34,000. Sedo also rounded out the first five with a name they sold for MostWantedDomains, ExpectTheUnexpected.com, at$25,000. These days few things are more unexpected than seeing a name in the top five that has more than four letters or numbers in it!
